Bayside Reviews

Lucy Anna
Beautiful Views! We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage in Carbis Bay. It was great for our group of 10, with amazing views and a really good location. The dogs loved it too! The cottage is only about a 510 minute walk to Carbis Bay train station, and then just a quick 34 minute journey into St Ives, which made getting around really easy. The cottage itself was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped for a group stay. The only downside was the hot water for the showers after around 3 people showered, the water would go ice cold, so the tank probably isnt quite big enough for a full group of 10. Aside from that, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Carbis Bay with our family and dog. The views were absolutely amazing and made every moment feel special. The location was perfectpeaceful yet close to everything we needed. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and really added to the overall experience. We would definitely love to return!
We had a lovely holiday at Bayside. House is in a perfect position, easy walk to the train station and the coastal path with beautiful views. The hot tub was very popular with all the family. The only downside is that the garden is NOT secure. Our 35kg Golden Retriever managed to get through gaps in the hedge twice! This meant we could not sit outside and relax and, as others have previously mentioned, it wouldnt take lots of work to rectify the issue.
We really enjoyed our stay. There was a couple of things to mention. Firstly an off smell in the stair way and near the fridge in the kitchen, it was like sick, we cleaned the area with antibacterial spray but the smell never really went. Also there was a large amount of dust of the fixtures, including the lights around the bed and the wardrobe and dust clumps on the carpet. The house itself and the views were amazing and we loved the hot tub. We were a little disappointed that there wasnt a kayak as pictured. We also lost hot water for one morning but managed to sort that. I did ring the emergency number and it redirected me to another number rather than leaving a message as it said would happen, I didnt hear back. I also messaged sky cottages via WhatsApp as I had previously communicated with them in that way and they didnt respond and then they closed my message so kind of gave up and decided to not really deal with it all on the holiday as it wasnt impeding our holiday, it was just a few niggles. Our children enjoyed the games room and we all said we enjoyed our stay. The views are absolutely incredible and being so close to the train station and the carbis bay estate was perfect.

Our family had a wonderful week in Bayside. The view's were amazing and the house was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Beds were also very comfortable too. The weather was almost perfect too which made it a really lovely holiday.

The house was located in a perfect spot so close to the beach and the views from some of the rooms were amazing the house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed my family really enjoyed their stay and would love to come back
Christine
Fabulous holiday at Bayside, multi generation party all agreed the property was great. Lots of internal stair may be an issue for people with mobility problems but we were fine. Facilities was good, nothing overlooked. Views were outstanding, great access to Carbis bay beach, although a little challenging we certainly came home fitter. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would love to come back again.
Rachel
Cant fault our stay, clean comfortable, great location , the views are out of this world, my grandson loved watching the train go by Thank you for everything, the property is so well equipped, we will definitely be back.
Valerie
Fantastic property for family gatherings all the facilities we needed except the ... Fantastic property for family gatherings all the facilities we needed except the stairs where a bit to much for the elderly members if the family but great fun was had by all
Lesley
Beautiful house with stunning views. Enjoyed by everyone from age 5 to 61. Unfortunately there are gaps in the hedges that our spaniel could escape from but otherwise it was a great holiday and the house gave us space and the hot tub was enjoyed by all.
Cody-anne
Absolutely stunning home the pictures do it no justice at all the views are incredible, the beds are comfortable which makes any stay 10x better!
A wonderful stay thank you, would return in a heart beat.
Philip
What a stunning property with fantastic views, brilliant location and extremely well equipped. The rooms are bright and airy, comfortable and with wonderful views of the bay. Short walk to the beach of Carbis Bay railway station with a short hop into St Ives I would recommend to get the train rather than drive and try to park and it is cheap. There was plenty of plates, cutlery and cooking implements, so never and issue, a couple of ovens, microwave and three fridges, what more can anyone ask for. I would not hesitate in booking again. The only issue was there was only one key for the front door and no key for the back door, would have been handy if there were a couple more.
Amazing property, three kids including one teenager, grandparents and a dog included in our group and was perfect for us. Rooms were big, playroom for the kids, hot tub all great bonuses. Please note garden is not secure for pets, which is ashame, as only a little bit of work could make it that way. Kitchen very well equipped, could just do with a few more breakfast bowls and teaspoons. Would recommend staying here to any family, great property in amazing location of Carbis bay, not sure there is better beach anywhere in uk.
Some confusion over listing relating to parking locations and keys. Otherwise excellent e.g. hot tub issue solved with replacement pump in half a day.

We had an amazing holiday, Bayside was such a wonderful house with the most amazing views, the house was clean, beds were comfortable, and there was everything you could have needed crockery and utensil wise, even plastic plates dishes glasses for outside. The welcome pack was such a lovely touch and most appreciated. We couldn't have wished for better accommodation
Catherine
The property was amazing for so many reasons. We visited with our son and our parents and they loved it too. The views were stunning, the beds were so comfortable and everywhere was clean. The kitchen had a good range of pans, cutlery, crockery etc and wifi worked great.the location of the house is ideal for access to Carbis Bay beach absolutely stunning! literally a 5 min walk, Carbis Bay train station again probably 8 mins at most and trains into St Ives ran every 30 mins and took 4 mins to get in. There is a beautiful walk along the coastal path to get to St Ives too, just 20 mins from the house. We loved every minute and cant wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay
The location and views were excellent, literally 5mins walk from Carbis Bay. Would highly recommend.
Lovely house in greayt position,a great place to stay
The property was really comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfect too. Able to easily walk into St Ives and only 5 mins to Carbis Bay beach. Easy to get to the train too if needed. Would love to return.
Alexander
Exceptional property for a family holiday. Our family age range is 74 6 and everyone enjoyed their stay at Bayside. Thanks again to the owners for allowing us to take both family dogs who had a great time as well. I do think you should mention about the work going on with the development in the valley which was a bit noisy occasionally, particularly when they kicked off just after 0800! Thankfully I was able to park on the level space. Eldest son has an automatic car so parking on the sloping drive wasnt a problem for him. Other car had to be parked round back. Couple of problems in the ensuite which were notified to CBH and hopefully were rectified before next booking.
Absolutely stunning house in a great location. Treat for my 50th Birthday with my family. Loved this house would love to return. Thank you
Bayside is exceptional the property itself is well decorated and maintained, stunning location and the promotional images would never do it justice this is an absolutely perfect holiday residence. But what made it for us is the owners attention to detail in respect of provision of equipment. Everything in Kitchen, dining, barbie, games room high standard, new John Lewis quality kit. Towels and linen absolutely immaculate and great quality very high standards and absolutely NOTHING to want for. The owners of Bayside set an exceptionally high bar if we return to Carbis Bay area in the next couple of years I'll be looking at availability at Bayside!!
Michael
Yes I would. I would say the garden was not dog friendly as there were lots of gaps in the hedges for our dog to escape. I still haven't had my security deposit of 500 returned...
There was a problem with the bed layout when we arrived, but it was quickly rectified by your staff, so thank you for that. It always seems a shame there is no option for recycling to be collected. We weren't sure whether to just strip the top sheets or the mattress protectors too, when leaving might be worth clarifying in the checking out information. Other than that, had a wonderful holiday, thank you!
