16 Arwenack Street Reviews

Our accommodation was beautiful & in a great location. Its our second visit & would highly recommend. All the furnishings are beautiful & the view from the living area over the water is spectacular.
Pauline
Lovely flat, furnished and maintained to a high standard! Great view of the sea and the nautical comings and goings! Definitely take your binoculars! Found the host to be very, very helpful and accommodating! Flat is very near to all the amenities and doable without a car, we travelled by train! Would definitely recommend to those wanting a great holiday in Falmouth!
Trevor
Our events team booked into 16 Arwenack Street for a week as part of an annual event that we run at Falmouth. The entire house was stunning with amazing views...the kitchen was a very impressive feature and had everything that we needed. Location could not have been better step out the door, straight onto the high street... Highly recommended and we hope to book again for 2026!
We had a brilliant time here celebrating a special birthday. The accommodation is to a high standard and the view of the harbour is great. The only downsides are that it is right on the main shopping street so is very noisy at night.
This place is stunning. Clean comfortable. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Hot tub with a wonderful view. The only downside and the reason we would not return is the parking situation. Getting our luggage there was a nightmare. I tried to get in touch with the owners but they did not answer. Upon leaving we had a taxi to take us back to our car with the luggage, the taxi was blocking the street and we could not get the key cupboard to lock. Again I contacted the owners and received no response
Alison
Lovely comfortable property to stay at with fab views. Great location right in the heart of town. A few car parks to choose from as there is no parking being on the high street. The Council offer a Rover Parking Permit which offers a choice of car parks for you to move your car around, I would recommend this for longer stays of a week or more. The owner is an extremely helpful man who was very attentive. I couldnt switch on the hot tub and he came out in 10 mins to show me. He cleared our rubbish whenever he was asked. A lovely gentleman. This is a lovely property and my family and I really enjoyed our stay and had a great time. Thank you very much.
This is a great holiday cottage. It was very comfortable for our party of six. Falmouth is a good holiday venue. We enjoyed coast path walks from the front door, a boat trip to St Mawes, local restaurants and local food shops, Truro Cathedral and Trellisick Gardens...

We had a fantastic stay at this very well maintained property. It has such lovely views across the harbour from the living space. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Melanie
The property was wellmaintained and very clean owners have put a real effort in to make the stay very comfortable for a large family like us. Beds were very comfortable, showers were brilliant. Well equipped kitchen. Views amazing and you could lose hours looking out! The hot tub was lovely and warm and welcomed after a long day Location was excellent bakery on your doorstep and all transport and shops For my family, I would like to have a stair gate as I have a toddler but cot and highchair was provided and nothing seemed a problem. Would highly recommend
Kathryn
It was a total pleasure to stay here, the owner was incredibly helpful, the place was clean and comfortable with a great view. The location was very central & convenient once we had unloaded and the walls are full of gorgeous art. In a country where so many holiday properties are beigem unstylish and unloved this one is a characterful standout !
A wonderful place to stay! Everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing weekend in a great location. Such a bright and welcoming place to stay.
Bradley
Beautiful town house with everything we needed for our lovely holiday. We will definitely be back !
Sharon
Great location. Lovely holiday home which is well equipped. The photos dont do it justice. We had a slight maintance problem in which they very quickly resolved even though it was the Christmas period. Definitely recommend.
What a fantastic property finished to a very high standard and felt like a home from home. We loved sitting on the balcony in the hot tub watching the boats in the harbour and the fantastic selection of restaurants in the area. We will definitely book again our favourite location so far
Really nice place in the heart of Falmouth. We would definitely stay here again.
Nicola
The cottage itself is decorated to a very high spec it is stylish and has a luxury feel about it. A little bit too much maybe as, like other reviewers, we struggled to use some of the appliances. However, the cottage is next door to a social club and it gets very noisy at night. It was impossible to have any of the windows open at night because of this so we had to buy our own fans and keep the windows shut which we werent expecting and even then it was noisy. We wanted to stay an extra night to make the most of the weather but we were charged at a higher rate than advertised for that date. When the hot tub didnt work, the owner offered us an extra night for free which was kind but we were disappointed as this was one reason we chose that cottage. I still havent heard back from Customer Services, 2 wks on.
Harriet
It was amazing! Only things were that there wasnt enough toilet roll and we werent left any instructions for what to do with the rubbish, hot tub or WiFi password etc. Also would recommend so advice on how to use the oven as we really struggled working out how to use it. And we are all fairly well house trained.
We really enjoyed our stay. Good location on the main street. Its lovely to have a balcony with views of the harbour. The accommodation is furnished to a really good standard. It is comfortable and we felt at home for the week we were there. I got a telephone call a couple of weeks before the stay. This is a nice personal touch and enabled me to ask for the link bed to be separated. It provided an opportunity to ask any questionsclarify information. We would recommend the accommodation and return if staying in Falmouth. The communication with the owner was good and they assisted me with returning an item I left behind in a quick and really helpful way. Thank you.
Lovely property, great location, we will be back.
Heather
We loved our stay on Arwenack Street the property has been renovated beautifully, was super comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The central location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Lovely host who has clearly put a lot of effort and thought into the property, and it shows. Thank you!
Natalie
Excellent location. Clean, comfortable and cool house. Would stay again. Would recommend. Only downside no information pack for house, hot tub, appliances etc. or local guidebook.
Jessica
We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely book it again in the future. The place is beautiful and the pictures dont do it justice. Beds are extremely comfortable and we had all the facilities we needed. As the other reviews suggest, the social club does look over the deckinghot tub area, but that was easily fixed by the privacy curtains that have been put in. We were a bit surprised at the amount of noise that came from the social club, but luckily as we were on holiday this didnt ruin our time as we were up late anyway. When the club is shut its incredibly peaceful in the hot tub and lovely views. The area is also fantastic and we could have happily spent another week or two there to explore more. The only minor issues we had were that upon arrival, the bins were still full with the previous occupants rubbish, and as there is no recycling bins at the property we had to leave it there for the duration of our stay too which was quite off putting. There was also food remains left on the kitchen counters that we had to clean ourselves and hairs around the bathroom, so our only recommendation would be a deeper clean in between guests leaving and arriving. Other than that we loved our stay, the apartment and area and we cant wait to return!
House is renovated to a high standard facilities superb, however no information about local facilities and despite the attraction of the balcony with hot tub with the view over Falmouth harbour the view below leaves a lot to be desired, with various urinals in a derelict site , also balcony can be viewed by adjacent social club fire escape which is used as a smoking area by its customers who tend to be local snd where later on in the evening the language can be shall we say if an adult nature, also noise from club mainly Fri Sat Sun night is a nuisance so can be the noise from arwnack street at night as late night revellers returning home in the early hours, we where also treated to the sight of 3 drunken youths scaling the scaffolding opposite late one night. So in summery, if your looking for a fantastic property in the midst of bars and restaurants this is the place for you, however if your looking for something more peaceful perhaps look elsewhere, also could I mention that perhaps a visitors book and local information would be useful

We had a wonderful staycation week at 16 Arwenack Street. The apartment is well laid out and beautifully decorated, all the bedrooms are a decent size and the bathrooms are great, with hot water all the time. The open place diningliving area is lovely and the kitchen was well equipped. Minor suggestions are a couple more serving dishes and some small bowls for prepcooking. The whole apartment was very clean and comfortable and its central location is excellent, especially for a multigenerational family stay. Falmouth is a fantastic town, with beautiful beaches nearby.
Accommodation was even better than advertised, rooms spacious , Modern and ... Accommodation was even better than advertised, rooms spacious , Modern and clean, view was amazing, I will miss waking up every morning to that sunrise over the harbour, everything needed for a comfortable, successful holiday is supplied within the accommodation, the only negative is the parking , trust me I am having to be massively over critical to find a negative re our resent stay here, 1010 , would definitely go back
Sykes are very well organised and professional, sending information well ahead of our visit. The apartment and host were exceptional, I marked comfort as good because the apartment was so warm we had to open windows in order to sleep but the road noise at the front and seagulls at the rear made it difficult to sleep. However ear plugs were provided and we adjusted to the noise. The quality of the facilities, the location more than compensated for it.
