9 Horizon View Reviews

Second visit to the property. Can't fault it. Perfect place to chill and recharge with easy access by car to most of Cornwall. Peaceful with gorgeous views.
Christine
A very lovely quiet and comfortable place to chill, lots of great places to visit locally.
Danielle
The holiday home was everything we needed. Clean, comfy beds, great shower, cooking facilities and lovely family area. Our daughters made the most of the hot tub and grass area. Waking up and sitting outside to the views was worth the stay alone. The location is great for visiting several places by car and we would stay again. Defo recommend 9 horizon view!!
Nathan
Overall we had a really wonderful stay. Stunning views, extremely peaceful, plenty of space, very welcoming feeling. Everything required was provided. However we would recommend the double bed absolutely needs to be replaced. We did not sleep well at all due to the amount of movement in the bed when turning over and loud creaking all night.
A superb lodge. A week of peace and relaxation made even better by enjoying the fantastic views on the terrace in the lovely weather. One of the nicest lodges we have stayed in. Everything we needed was provided and the accommodation was furnished to a high standard. Cleanliness generally high but dining table top could do with replacing as the varnish was very sticky. Outside area superb and well maintained. Hot tub checks excellent and grounds staff very friendly. The views are beautiful. The master bed lacked some support at the sides meaning it felt like youd roll out but otherwise very comfortable and we look forward to staying again. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful property and in an ideal location, very picturesque as it overlooks the countryside. Great to have facilities like a washerdryer and dishwasher. Its ideally situated and convenient as it is very easy to commute to places like the eden project, looe, padstowe and other surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay at the property, nice and clean and lovely to have a lawn area right outside which is great for the kids to run around freely and enjoy the wide open space. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Very nice place.
Our lodge was amazing. It had everything in it we needed. Very comfortable. Beautiful views from the lodge as well as garden furniture and hot tub. Would definitely recommend it. Also very quiet and peaceful.
Sylvia
Pluses lovely holiday lodge, very comfortable, clean and peaceful. The lodges in Horizon View have stunning views of the surrounding countryside and hills. Although the grounds are open plan, the lodge felt private because of foliage very effectively screening the decking and garden area from neighbours. Hot tub is a great addition, lovely to relax in each evening with a few glasses of wine. Plenty of amenities within short drives nearby especially Trago Mills!. Great location for visiting Looe, Polperro, Charlestown and other popular places for sightseeing. Negatives a bit of a walk to dispose of rubbish bags perhaps supply bins outside the lodges?. Our dining table had a very sticky residue we think the varnish had turned 'tacky' wasn't particularly a problem because we simply used a sheet as a tablecloth, but definitely something that needs rectifying. The gorgeous views were blocked a little by a hedge that we think could be pruned lower to maximize said views. We had a lovely holiday, many thanks.
Ive booked again for next year. . We had an awesome holiday and found our lodge to be very well equipped and clean. Beds were very comfortable as were the sofas.. Hot tub was clean and well maintained.. Overall we cannot find any fault hence we have rebooked for next year. We stayed at your sister sight back in 2022 at Lanreath and enjoyed that place too.. Very highly recommended and the site staff especially Tracey Karn were very friendly and helpful..
The property was as described and clean and tidy, some of the cooking utensils were a bit tired but overall a well equipped kitchen. The dining table however was sticky and when we reported this we were told the previous occupants had reported this and despite them and housekeeping cleaning the table is had not improved, and this was not addressed during the week we were there! The other problem was the hot water, three times we lost hot water, once I was able to get it running again but the second time it went cold we discovered at 2330 There was nothing I could do, so reported the lack of hot water at 0710 in the morning on the emergency number, the man answering the phone took the address and my name the said thank you and hung up! 1.5 hours later on one had turned up so I rang again to see what was happening, and was told he had sent an email to reception and maintenance who started work at 0900, I could have done that, so what was the point of having an emergency number? This was on the Thursday our last full day, Tracy the receptionist, who is very good and keeps you informed phoned to say she had the email and maintenance would be there to fix it by 1000. We went out for the day and let Tracy know and she phoned us to say it had been fixed. The rest of the day all was good, nice hot water, however when we got up in the morning my 86 year old disabled mother in law told me she had to shower in water that was barely warm and when we checked, we did not have hot water again. As we were leaving that morning I reported the fact to Tracy as we were leaving. But really having a lodge that sleeps 6 people not being able to supply constant hot water for only 4 people who do not all shower or bath at the same time is not good enough. It spoilt what should have been a really good week.
Fantastic place, lodge has everything you need and more.
Excellent location with Liskeard less than 10 mins away which has a train station to many other popular destinations in Cornwall. The lodge was fantastic lodge with great WiFi to please a 14 year old! The hot tub was also a great way to wind down after busy day. Many thanks to Martha, Tracey and the team for making this an enjoyable stay. Mark
Wonderful lodge! Very clean, everything you need and a spectacular view! The hot tub was amazing too! Thank you for the best holiday! Would highly recommend this lodge and the Southern Halt site beautiful surroundings, well kept and all the staff we spoke to were super friendly and helpful. Golitha Falls is just a 5 minute drive away, absolutely stunning, then finish off with delicious grub at Inkies Smokehouse. A visit to St Nectans Waterfall is well worth a visit, not far from Boscastle. If you have a glutenintolerant member of the family, Boscastle have the best bakery that does glutenfree pasties, delicious! And the cafe next door does a GF cream tea! Mevagissy, Padstow and Polperro also worth a visit! Just a wonderful place and a wonderful lodge to come back to and relax! Thank you!!
Amazing stay 2nd year in a row and we'll be booking again for next year. The place is perfect and situated in the perfect place for you to go anywhere you want too, from Looe which is 15 minutes away a beautiful town, with great beach, shops, to St Ives 1 hour away. The holiday village is beautiful, private and the hot tub just makes it perfect. The lodge is clean, comes with everything you need, literally all you need is your clothes, the lodge is very spacious, clean and modern. Views are amazing
Wonderful surroundings. Relaxing and peaceful with nature surrounding you. The family enjoyed the hot tub after busy days out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The property was very clean. The only issue we had was with the main bedroom bed. The mattress was so bad that my husband and I had bad backs. We stayed for a week and could not wait to get back to our bed. It was a shame because everything else was perfect.
We had a lovely stay here. We think we left a birthday card with a 20 voucher inside on the table and I tried to call multiple times and tried to email and got no where to see if it had been found so not the best customer service. Hot tub was amazing, the lodge in general was very clean and tidy! We did see a couple of mice running in and out of under the lodge, but this didnt really bother us.
