Carn House, Pendeen

We had a fabulous stay at Carn House, a real Cornish gem. Everything has been thought about here to enjoy your stay whatever the weather we loved the outdoor kitchen and Big Green Egg BBQ. The location is perfect for the best walks around the Penwith peninsula, and St Just a few minutes away to top up on supplies and buy McFadden's best Pasties! This was our second visit to Carne House and we are glad we came back! The property is very well looked after, modern and comfortable. The owners who are so friendly! have thought of everything that you might need to enjoy your stay. They have also made improvements to the garden border so it is now totally secure for dogs which was brilliant for us, not having to worry about her escaping while we enjoyed the hot tub. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again for a great visit!

We've just had a super week at Carn House. Being winter we really appreciated the hot tub and the log burner. It was great that logs were provided for the duration of our stay. The treats provided for our arrival were just that, a real treat!! The location is great for visiting lots of locations in the area, with walks straight from the cottage, including the stone circle, Geevor Mine, the lighthouse and the south west coast path. The cottage is very well equipt. Infact you do need to spend time reading through the various instructions before you can really settle in and relax!!!! Carn House is peace and quiet, with every thing you need and more besides. However a little dining table and 2 chairs would have been nice for those special holiday meals. But this is only because we visited in winter so we weren't able to dine out on the patio. Nonetheless, we had a super stay at Carn House.

A great cottage with excellent facilities, helpful hosts and an ideal location to walk some of South West Costal Path, finishing at the friendly North Inn. An ideal combination!

I have to say, Carn House is a gem of a place. We found it online after doing extensive Google searches for places in Cornwall, near the coast with a fire, hot tub and washingdrying facilities. We couldn't have been more impressed the owners who are lovely have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a proper home away from home. Facilitywise, the property is superbly appointed with a well laid out kitchen, good appliances and a wide range of utensils. The fireplace was a treat in the cold December nights and the huge bath in the bedroom was a proper romantic treat plus the bed is huge and supercomfy. Outside there is a large hot tub, a Big Green Egg BBQ and a sauna. The garden isn't really overlooked there are two other properties nearby but in summer, the shrubbery will provide additional privacy. You might find the odd horse gazing at you from the field at the rear. The drive up to the property is a tad narrow and like use, folks might miss it on the first go use satellite view on Google Maps to see where you need to go. There is ready supply of firewoodkindling, washing up liquid, laundry detergent and dishwasher tabs, all provided as part of the package to make life more simple. There are a lot of things around to dosee and it's a relatively easy drive to pretty much the whole peninsular albeit, trips will take longer due to the nature of Cornish roads. All in all, a fantastic place, a dream stay we properly relaxed and we've booked again for this year. If there was one niggle and it's a minor one that others have put in their reviews there isn't quite enough storage for a week's worth of clothing for two people the bedroom would benefit from a chest of drawers.

Perfect cottage for two, high end add ons like sauna, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. Superb location with St. Ives and Lands End within a 20 minute drive and Minack Theatre 30 minutes away.

The property is a real credit to its owners! It was really nice to see some quality kitchen accessories, so often these are usually really cheap. Nicely located for Sennen, Porthcurno and St Ives. Really enjoyed the local pub The North Inn. Proportions of the rooms were very generous and we really enjoyed the outside. We will be back!

Carn House is beautiful! The facilities including sauna, hot tub and outdoor kitchen with BBQ and wine fridge are exceptional. The beautiful bath in the spacious bedroom was so relaxing. It is dog friendly and our dog loved the garden and the outdoor hot doggy shower. The location is perfect for exploring SouthWest Cornwall and we enjoyed walking the coastal path straight from the cottage.

The cottage was a fantastic place to be, from the decor to facilities everything had been thought of. The hosts were incredibly helpful in ensuring we got the chance to make the most of our stay.

An armchair that facilitates an upright sitting position would be an improvement. Otherwise super facilities throughout.

We had a really lovely & relaxing break at Carn House . The property is stunning with a very well thought out interior & equally fabulous outside dining relaxing area complete with an outdoor kitchen, hot tub & sauna , we felt thoroughly pampered during our stay. The house was very clean, with a very informative guest book and an amazing welcome tray!! & nothing beats milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival. We had a nice chat with the owner of the property who told us of the history of the house & also gave us more welcome advice with regards to the area . Thank you again for a wonderful holiday on what was our first & won't be our last visit to Cornwall.

Very welcoming, your visit was a lovely touch as was the generous welcome pack, plus the always needed milk. The guest book was very useful too. Carn house is absolutely beautiful, modern and clean but also keeping its own character. The hot tub was an added bonus which was appreciated at the end of a packed day. A gorgeous property with a very pretty garden overlooking some friendly horses in the field behind . The hot tub and sauna were a bit of luxury which we used everyday and had a BBQ one evening using the Big Egg . Easy access to some stunning coastal walks and great village pubs nearby The cottage is very well equipped with some hi tech features and dog friendly and the owners live nearby and are happy to help with any queries x Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing couples break

Carn house is a superb holiday home with everything you need on the doorstep. Its has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere which has provided us with a blissful much needed rest.

An excellent property. Spotlessly clean, finished to a very high standard, well stocked kitchen, modern and contemporary design and decor, excellent welcome pack, owners very friendly but not intrusive. Great location for exploring western Cornwall. Friendly, community pub the North Inn and shop both 5 minutes walk. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay, everything was perfect! The only slight disappointment was that we could not use the hot tub on our first day, maybe some communication before arrival on this would be helpful. We would love to come back and would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from Carn House & what a lovely spotless holiday cottage, we were luckily enough to have beautiful weather, making use of the fantastic outdoor space & facilities, with its views of the sea. The cottage itself is located in a lovely quiet spot with lovely walks on your doorstep & only approx 30 mins drive to the beauty spots Cornwall has to offer. The owners were very friendly & helpful, which we appreciated when we had a problem with our car. This is one on the best holiday properties we have stayed in & we would definitely recommend Carn House & hope to return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Carn House. It is a beautiful, tastefully renovated and decorated property, with a spacious bedroom, modern bathroom and well equipped kitchen with a full sized fridgefreezer. Having been lucky with good weather, we made use of the outside facilities too. After a day of walking the hilly streets of Cornwall, a relaxing dip in the hot tub was most welcome. The bbq egg is easy to use, the wood chip is provided, the food cooked perfectly. The owner left a generous welcome pack for both us and our dog which was most appreciated. We stay in cottages all over the country once or twice each year and rate this one highly, its beautiful.

Really great property! All the facilities you could possibly need, really clean and well maintained. Location is perfect as well, with views of the sea. Loved the hot tub after long walks and the doggy shower was extremely helpful. Owners were very friendly and were keen we had a good time. I would advise dog owners to bring a long lead as the garden is not 100 enclosed but is otherwise safe. My only suggestion would be an extra storage piece in the bedroom, maybe a chest of drawers for those of us that cant travel light I would recommend!

This cottage is absolutely stunning! The whole place is immaculate, the owners have done a great job in renovating this old barn, the only small issue we had was that it states the garden is enclosed, and although it is, the wallsshrubs are quite short so if you have a dog that likes to wonder, they can escape quite easily, this did not put us off in the slightest though, we just tied the dogs long line up and clipped him on, he was all good! We absolutely loved our stay from the hot tub, to the barbecue and the comfy super king size bed!

Outstanding at every level! Hats off to the owners Garry and Suzanne for the attention to detail put into every inch of this stunning holiday cottage. Carn House was perfect in every way and was definitely a Wow when you walked through the door. We had one of the most relaxing weeks exploring the coast path which is only about a 15 minute walk from the property. The highlights for us were Portheras Cove Beach, walking around the old mine relics along the coast path and the Count House Cafe at the Geevor Mine the food was excellent with a view to die for! The hot tub and the sauna were absolute luxury and a lovely way to relax. I have to mention the welcome pack which was divine, so well thought out and a real treat to try some of Cornwalls local delicacies. I have no doubt that we will be back next year and have already recommended the cottage to everyone. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of Cornwall. Wow what a beautiful cottage, perfect for the two of us. So clean and comfortable, we could not fault it in any way. Beautiful welcome pack the best we have ever come across in all our visits to various places. Every aspect of our stay catered for even down to the supply of dishwasher tabs, washing pods, toilet rolls, kitchen roll etc. The hot tub and sauna were a great added bonus and we took good advantage of them both. Surrounding area great to visit, Lands End, Minack Theater, St Ives etc. Thank you for such a lovely stay in your lovely home we cannot praise it enough.

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful cottage. It is very well equipped with everything provided for a very relaxing stay. The hot tub, sauna and outside cooking area were perfect, especially after walking the south west coast path which is nearby. The bed was very comfortable...I wouldn't hesitate to book again

Fantastic property, very clean, everything there that we needed. Exactly what we needed to rest and relax on an evening after a busy day of site seeing around cornwall. The hot tub having the canopy was lovely to relax in even during any wind and rain. The log fire was great on the cooler nights. Honestly cannot fault the place at all. Very friendly owners who checked in after 24hrs to make sure we were happy and comfy and answer any questions if any that we had then they left us to it had to message once as we had cold air from outside blowing back into the property via the kitchen extraction, this was resolved within an hour a vent cap had come off due to high winds great service. Thanks for a wonderful first time in Cornwall!

Wow what an amazing propertyWe have been to lots of cottages throughout Cornwall and by far this is the most perfect accommodation. It has everything you will need and much much more. Lovely massive comfy bed with a roll top bath for those who fancy a dip whilst looking over the field to the horses. Fantastic bathroom with rain head shower and as much hot water as you could possibly need. The covered hot tub is brilliant which is lovely on those cooler October days and even boasts sea views. If you are thinking of booking this property then do not hesitate, book it before the word gets out. Thanks for a fantastic stay and will book here again when in the area.

We had an amazing time at Carn House, the house is beautiful, we had everything we needed also for the dog who thoroughly enjoyed herself too. We felt very relaxed there, the hot tub was so good after a long day of walking, it's in a perfect location, lovely villages, pubs and coastal walks, the bigger towns are very close too, would highly recommend and hope to return one day, thank you too for the lovely welcome goodies, all local and delicious, lovely to meet you.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Carn House, very relaxing, comfortable and really didn't need to take any household items because everything was provided. Very happy with the standard of accommodation, it was beautiful. Thank you for making our holiday so memorable
