Nancherrow Studio Reviews

The cottage is in a great location in St Just, which is its strongest positive. From the outside and in photos the property looks attractive and full of character, and aesthetically it has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, in practice it is not functional or well maintained, which significantly affected our stay. There are multiple security and practicality issues that make the property difficult to use and that, in our experience, felt unsafe. One of the doors cannot be properly shut or locked due to a broken mechanism, meaning the house cannot be left securely unattended. At the same time, other external doors are locked shut and unusable, which is inconvenient and a potential concern. The only lockable front door is extremely difficult to open from the outside without forcing it. Facilities advertised as features were also not usable most notably the hot tub, which was broken despite prior confirmation that it was working. The hot water supply was limited and insufficient for the number of guests the property is listed to accommodate. The kitchen was poorly equipped with very few basic amenities and no suitable cookware for the Aga, making selfcatering impractical. Cleanliness was below standard, with cobwebs, dust, and bathroom bins not emptied on arrival. Several small but telling issues missing light bulbs, a broken iron, and the lack of a welcome or safety information pack added to the impression that the property is not regularly checked or prepared properly for guests. Privacy is another concern, as bathrooms facing the street still have no blackout blinds, something previous reviews have also mentioned. In summary, while the location is excellent and the property looks charming, it is currently not practical, not well maintained, and does not deliver on advertised features. With proper maintenance and attention to basic standards it could be lovely, but in its present condition it falls short of expectations for a holiday rental.

Every thing was great just no really enjoyed it
Lovely property and nicely situated but really dirty and we had to wash everything glasses etc and Clean down the unit to put it back as it was thick with dust before use . Just tidy up outside garage etc and get rid of rubbish that's around . Bath plugs had no chains on making it difficult to empty . Sofa that's broken needs to be removed . Tv didnt work , workmen next door so couldn't stay in the house or use hot tub as they started working at 8.30 , which overlooks the garden . My daughter couldn't use bathroom as the window was overlooked by scaffolding. Bathrooms needs black out blinds as you can see in from outside into bathroom so getting a bath is abit tricky . it would be nice just to have some sort of information about what's in the area and parking in front of the house . I feel bad as there were a lot of negative things but we did have a lovely time. There's plenty in the village pubs , shops , butchers etc . Lots of lovely walks and close to lands end and other places to visit .
Nancherrow Studio is a wonderful property. The house itself is effectively divided into two quiet and spacious parts, joined together by the classic country kitchen with its AGA cooker heart. We were happy to discover Aashower on the ground floor, one of many lovely bathrooms in the house, that served one of party with reduced mobility. We just wish we had more time to exploit the hottub outside and the beautiful surrounding landscape!
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Nancherrow Studio is a beautiful and comfortable house. My friends and I had plenty of space when we wanted it and were able to come together around the kitchen table. The bus stop right outside the front door made day trips to Penzance and St. Ives super simple without the need for designated drivers. We all had a fantastic vacation and didn't want for anything.
