Lovely house, this was our second visit to The Old Forge and it was beautiful. The welcome pack was the best we have ever had, the house and garden are spotless. Care was taken so everything was presented to a high standard. Plenty of cutlery, glasses and plates was very useful. Plastic glasses for use in hot tub was handy. Bedrooms very clean and beds comfortable.There is plenty of room at The Old Forge, the garden is large with nice patio furniture. We loved our stay and would recommend this property.

Lovely property, thank you for providing the welcome pack with all fresh and locally sourced produce. Garden brilliant as was the hot tub, not overlooked and had some great wildlife around. Location was great, nowhere which wasn't within reasonable travel distance such as Lands End, St Ives. Great local chip shop close by too as well as larger supermarkets. Had an amazing holiday and hope to visit again soon!

Fabulous property clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. We have stayed at many holiday rentals and this one was definitely the best. The owners have thought of everything to make guests stay enjoyable and easy. Garden and hot tub were an added bonus.

Simply superb property. Everything we needed and wanted for a comfortable and restful holiday. Could not fault the cottage at all. However I would never book a holiday through Helpful Holidays again. It was impossible to get through to them to ask a couple of questions. We phoned several times, either no applicable option or left listening to hold music for over half an hour. Emails were not responded to at all and 2 WhatsApp messages timed out because Helpful Holidays had not replied. If I was the owner of The Old Forge I would list with someone else.

What a lovely idyllic place to stay, the forge is beautiful and very comfortable we had the best stay. Its also very central for the lovely beaches and close to the light aircraft airport. Which is walking distance. Were going to book it again

Exceeded our expectations. Such an amazing place to stay, we had fun getting lost on a walk in the valley with the dogs but people are so helpful and friendly. We received a welcome pack of quality sausages, wholemeal bread etc which was unexpected but very enjoyable. The cottage itself was delightful, the pictures in the desciption really don't do it justice. Everywhere was clean and furnished to a very high standard. Thanks Nikki, we will be back.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings. We had an issue with the washing machine but the owners were efficient at sorting it. The hot tub was the biggest let down as we only got to use it twice because it kept losing temperature so that was very disappointing. It was one of the big factors that made us book this cottage

We loved the cottage, super clean, well appointed and had everything we could have wished for. The owner was super generous with the welcome pack and we were certainly wowed by it. Abundance of logs for the log burner and kindling again very generous. We will almost certainly return and will recommend to all our family and friends.

Beautiful cottage, fabulous location. Accommodation was to a high specification and had everything we needed and more! The garden was a great size and most importantly was secure for our dog. The welcome food pack was a very pleasant surprise. St. Just is a lovely little place with a surprisingly busy feel about it. We were spoilt for choice when we wanted to eat out. We had read previous comments about the adjacent property causing an irritation but we barely noticed our neighbours. Even having experienced some very wet and windy weather during our stay, we really didnt want to leave at the end of our week.

A fabulous property. The owner has really thought of everything to make the house a very comfortable home from home. We are already planning our return.

Absolutely lovely place, hot tub, big kitchen and space for the dog to run around in the garden, superb. Kitchen fridge and freezer door needs fixing is the only down point, but didnt affect our relaxing time.

A few notes of feedback from the group that would have made our stay a little better would have been the provision of oven gloves a vegetable peeler a stair gate at the top of the stairs as well as bottom Other than that, your property is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Some of my friends who came with me are keen to book again with their own families. And Im sure Ill be back again next year. So great for groups of friends, families as well as little ones. The cottage had a lovely homey feel to it and thanks to the colder weather we made excellent use of the wood fire and logs provided. The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise with delicious locally sourced food. There are some fantastic walks in the surrounding area with beautiful views some of which can be seen from the cottage as well. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

A really wonderfully appointed, comfortable holiday property. Room for the whole family with great amenities which were clean and comfortable. The property was conveniently located for many local attractionsbeachescafesrestaurants etc. The hot tub was fantastic and it was nice to see it being 'servicedmaintained' during our stay too. The kitchen had everything we needed even for 5 adults and a toddler. Have already recommended to friends and would stay again.

Property is fantastic and very well equipped. Even a Bluetooth speaker for music in the garden. Nikkis efforts on the property are very evident and she has made every possible effort to create an amazing place to stay.

Great cottage, very well equipped and very comfortable. Only negatives were being on the flight path from Lands End airport with aircraft departing at 820 and 825 every morning flying at only a few 100 feet over the house. Quite near a road which got quite busy at times.

Our stay at the old forge was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations on every aspect. The property was spotless, the facilities are amazing especially the hot tub and the breakfast pack in the fridge was a great touch. We were slightly concerned reading the two negative reviews but after visiting I can clarify yes, there is a property close by but it caused us no issues whatsoever. The second property has its own path that runs above the back garden so no one walks past your windows or dining room. Also the property is set well back from the road and whilst there are houses on the other side we did not feel overlooked at any point. The road that runs past is fairly quiet and also caused us no issues. Would definitely recommend and would love to return

Probably the best holiday home weve stayed in! Fantastic location, lovely garden and hot tub. Masses of parking and the house had literally everything you will need. Everything was there from tea bags, sugar, coffee, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, bin liners etc etc. Lovely surprise left for us in the fridge, a full fry up package including sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, white pudding and eggs. Furniture and beds very comfortable and bathrooms and showers etc were lovely. Very clean inside and out. Location is perfect. We walked from the house to Lands End along the coastal path which was spectacular about 6 miles. Minack theatre is a must see and is just 15 mins away. For golf enthusiasts, Mullion golf course down by the Lizard is superb. There is so much to do in the area. We would highly recommend this holiday home, it was a fabulous relaxing week and well definitely be back. Well done to the owners who have obviously spent lots of time and love in creating this lovely home

Probably our best cottage choice ever. Really well appointed and presented accommodation. Mobile reception is not great but there's not a lot that the owners can do about that rural Cornwall and in a valley. Some great short walks to the coast and St Just from the cottage gate short distance on the road to reach the footpaths. A very welcoming base to explore a new to us part of the UK.

The Old Forge is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed at. It was immaculately clean, really comfortable, had everything you needed. It is spacious, well maintained and feels luxurious. Ideally located to visit many attractions yet set in a quiet rural location. The welcome pack was unexpected and delicious. The hot tub was an additional bonus. The electric charging points for the car made our holiday hassle free. We didnt want to leave. Thank you !

Were not ones to complain you cant give anything less than a 1 star review but its only fair anyone booking should be aware. The pictures of the property make it appear isolated, and the isolated search filter guides you to it. The main road of the village is running straight past, and there is very little privacy. You cant see it in the pictures but there is a secondary property within 5 foot, its purposely cropped out of the images. Occupiers of that property are constantly walking past the dining room windows looking straight in to and from the shared driveway. Theres also 45 properties over road that have a clear view around the property. This is more of a gold fish bowl than a retreat. We complained and were brushed under the carpet multiple times and were refused any kind of refund, even though we didnt stay in the property, after paying 1000 for 3 nights!!

The price and photos didnt reflect the property. Overlooked and noisy 60mph road next to the property, another property is also directly behind the cottage. We stayed for two weeks and the gardener, cleaner and owner used the property wed paid 2500 for as a throughway for the Saturday changeover of the adjoining property. Leaving gates open for our dog to get out while they walked their own dog round our private property. Not impressed at all.
