Sunset View, Porth

We loved the property, from the moment we got in we felt we were in a special house. I have stopped with Sykes for many years and this is the best property I have stayed in and the kids loved it. The location is fantastic, 10 minutes from the beach and 40 minutes from Newquay meant the car stayed in the drive most of the holiday and I, as the designated driver, had a lovely relaxing break. Very keen to book again the year after next as we already are booked for next year. Thank you again for a lovely holiday. One thing to consider is blinds or curtains upstairs for the evening sun as it is so warm and bright but I feel bad suggesting something because there is too much sun lol.

Weve had a great holiday at this lovely property. Views are fab! Everything was very clean and tidy on arrival and we couldnt think of anything else we needed it was all here. Not visited Porth before but loved it and would definitely return, soon we hope! Owner very easy to contact and extremely helpful. Slight problem we had was dealt with by a visit from James within 15 mins of us reporting it. Would highly recommend this property and the local area. Food at Mermaid Inn and smoothie bowls from Blend at Lusty Glaze were lovely. R Place had great clothes and Ansum great pizzas at Porth. Didnt want to come home and hope to return soon would highly recommend. Thank you

All perfect, would suggest that the grassed area of the property is fenced off with gate as the decked area and resin path not inviting for dogs, and it would have been nice to sit with them in the garden sometimes but too open to the road The grassed area with them, when not out exploring .

Five Stars A Perfect Getaway! We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful, comfortable home! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The location is absolutely perfect close enough to everything you might want to explore, yet tucked away enough to feel like a true retreat. The house itself had everything we needed and more. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The added bonus of the hot tub made our evenings extra special nothing beats soaking in warm bubbles while taking in the breathtaking scenery! Were already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable escape!

Lovely house with great views and fantastic location.

Sunset View is lovely place to stay, so easy to get to the beach and coast path. The top floor room is so bright and with such lovely views, including the sunsets! Very comfortable, well equipped and excellent communications.

Lovely place to stay with stunning ocean and sunset views from the lounge. Porth has a stunning beach less than a 5 minute walk from the house although the hill you walk back up is epic

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset View, this house is in an excellent and quiet location only a few minutes walk down to the beach. This property is very nice and clean, the views from the upstairs living room are amazing. It has good facilities overall and is pretty spacious. The living room upstairs is the highlight. We needed to contact the owner due to a minor issue, we found her very polite, friendly and helpful. We love Porth as it has a nice beach, opposite the beach we love Roo's beach coffee shop and clothes shop really friendly people. It is only a 20 minute walk across the coastal path or 1 mile in a car to get to Newquay.

We had a lovely week staying in Sunset View. The house was clean and in a great position to take in the views across Porth beach. We found everything we needed for a comfortable stay and particularly enjoyed the upstairs lounge and dining area. A special mention should be made to Claire the owner who was very attentive and always willing to help.

Great location, views of the sea were incredible! Weather wasn't great during our stay but we still made use of the decking area and hot tub which were lovely. A few suggestions. More supplies like bin bags, toilet roll and dishwasher tablets as there were 5 of us staying for 7 nights and only had 1 bin bag and 2 rolls of toilet roll. Bathroom could have been cleaner there was a bit of black mould round the edges of the bath. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend just needs a few minor improvements.

This is the second time staying at the Sunset view, the first time was excellent hence why we booked it again this year. However, upon arrival it appears that the time taken to clean the property has been cut, or the cleaners are in the habit of cutting some corners. Some of the things we reported to Sykes was, dog faeces had been left on the decking area, mould found in the bottom of childrens cups and the cooker rings were dirty. Findind dog faeces on the decking area is totally unacceptable. I picked the mess up straight away as my 5 year old lad almost stepped in it. Sykes offered to come and clean the other issues however the cleaners arrived at 6pm whilst getting the kids ready for bed which wasnt convenient. During our stay we also found that the hot tub was full of dead woodlouse and had an oily film on the surface, giving the appearance it hadn'tbeen cleaned for a while. Again Sykes came round and cleaned the hot tub and refilled it, this was halfway through our holiday. Upon our last morning, and whilst cleaning up before leaving, my wife moved the door mat in the kitchen to sweep the floor. On doing so she found quite a few mouldy old crisps. It appeared previous occupants had swept their mess under the mat and the cleaner hadn't found them. Whilst I complained to Sykes at the beginning of our holiday, they were fast in rectifying the issues and they couldn't apologise enough. Whilst we had an enjoyable holiday, we won't be booking Sunset View for a third time.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This property is fantastic. It was comfy, it was clean, it was a few minute walk from the beach. I couldnt fault it. The upstairs living room has everything you need and even though we had drizzly days it still didnt affect us as we knew we had a comfy property to watch some films or play a few games in.

Absolutely wonderful property. Ideal location. Will definitely be returning. Stunning views. Felt like home.

A truly lovely place very peaceful and relaxing. Lovely welcome package including dog treats Absolutely spotless throughout The view is amazing I could sit and watch the sea all day. It was cold but we did brave the hot tub lovely while in and worth the cold dash in and out! Lots of nice pubs with good food within an easy walk most were dog friendly. We will definitely book again

Fab house, everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Absolutely amazing views and easy access to all the lovely beaches.

Lovely cottage, could do with a freshen up however the main thing for us was the hot tub, it may aswell not be there or get a decent jacuzzi hot tub, never warm enough and you can only fit 2 small people in. This is the only thing I can say would stop us coming back to sunset view.

We all had an amazing time staying at Sunset View, everything was spot on, local area and beaches were lovely, attention to detail was brilliant and thoughtful from a nice welcome pack to leaving dog treats and bed! ! Hot tub is worth getting going! Lovely views from the balcony, couldnt recommend more, wouldnt hesitate to book again!

Amazing stay at sunset view, everywhere was so clean and came with everything you needed, all the little extras like dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, milk scones etc were all very much appreciated, the shower was brilliant and my mum loved the log fire, it was the perfect base with everything you need provided,we really didnt want to leave! Only slight down side is the sideback garden not being secure for dogs although we had the decked area out back which was secure we had to keep putting them on the leads to take them to the grassed area of the garden for them to use the toilet, our only moan! Thank you for a fantastic stay

Lovely windy stay in Feb 22 half term. Stunning views, great log burner and short walk to a stunning beach for dog walks. Lovely accommodation.

Fabulous little cottagehouse close to the beach and walkable distance to Newquay and watergate bay. Apartment clean and good amenities. We didnt use the hot tub as it took 2 hours to heat and had to be monitored. We didnt book for this facility so didnt impact on our holiday. Would definitely recommend.

Sunset view is a lovely property in a fantastic area, the views are amazing and there is a great walk to porth island which is on the doorstep along with porth beach. You are in easy distance to all attractions. The log burner and hot tub were amazing.

Felt the house wasnt as clean as it should be. The floors in particular and also the high chair that we used for our son.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location, the view of the sea and the sunset is breathtaking. The house catered for all of our needs with excellent facilities, and a yummy welcome cream tea. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunset is a must and a fantastic feature of this beautiful house. Cant wait to stay again, highly recommend this property

The views were just stunning!

Stunning location and just a quick stroll to a beautiful Sandy beach and nearest pub. Well equipped house with lovely outside space to relax, bbq, take in the views or soak on the hot tub. Spotlessly clean and comfortable couldnt ask for more. We had an amazing holiday, one to remember!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset View. We will certainly be going back! When we arrived there were scones clotted cream and jam.....delcious. The views from the living room were stunning and also relaxing in the hot tub was so nice. The house was clean and had everything you needed. The location was fantastic and also not too far for lottle day trips out in the car. The ow era were easy to get hold if had any questions. We had a lovely holiday!! Thank you!
