Port Isaac is a working fishing village and the filming location for Doc Martin. Polzeath's surf beach, Daymer Bay's calmer sands and the Camel Estuary at Rock are all within easy reach. The South West Coast Path runs nearby and the Camel Trail links Padstow to Bodmin by bike.

The Meadow Retreat is set in the countryside just outside Port Isaac in North Cornwall. A car is strongly recommended both for reaching the property and for getting around the local area. The B3267 and B3314 are the main routes into Port Isaac from the A39 Atlantic Highway.
The nearest mainline railway station is Bodmin Parkway, approximately 22 miles from Port Isaac. From there, a taxi or pre-arranged transfer will get you to the property. Wadebridge is a closer option at around 11 miles away.
