14 Horizon View Reviews

Had to spend half an hour on arrival picking up Dog mess around the Grass where we intended to sit, Called to the office to inform that missing cushions to the seats outside and that one seat was broken, Advised that someone would come and sort these issues, Yet None came until the following day. My wife was greeted by a growling dog the second morning and another pile off Dog Poo, went to office and advised that its an owners dog and it should be on a lead and she was going to call them. We wanted a chilled time away before My Daughter returned to her Exams & Unfortunately this didn't happen.

Excellent stay, would definitely return here
This site is very quiet. There is not much within walking distance. No nice dog walks where you could safely walk an active dog. Walking on the narrow lanes is very dangerous. Would have preferred dog safe accommodation fenced so the dog could go in and out instead of being tied up. Our hot tub was nice but not level by 20cms. However cabin was well appointed and comfortable.
Lovely stay, so peaceful only little thing is could do with a new and an extra frying pan and a couple more oven trays.
The best lodge we have ever stayed in, very clean, tidy, and so comfortable. We felt right at home as soon as we stepped foot through the door. So well organised and easy to book and I was emailed everything I needed to know in plenty of time. Also I had a phone call telling me my lodge was ready and I was so excited. I cant wait to return one year. Thank you for much Jenny bowler
What a lovely weekend! Will be coming back here. Everything was great no complaints Even though your on a site it doesnt seem it at all, very quiet & we loved how you come and go without checking in or out Whole place was lovely & clean, well looked after & maintained We cant wait to come back here!
14 Horizon view is located in a great pitch. It is private and in general the grounds are in a good state. The inside was spotless and again in a fairly good condition. There are a few things that need attention, some of the blinds are damaged and the ensuit shower door is at risk of falling off. Overall the lodge is great and what we expected. We stayed in one a little further down a few years ago, so knew the site and quality. The outside furniture is nice, although we didn't use it. The reception staff were very efficient. The dishwasher wasn't working and the service provided by reception and maintenance was second to none, in ensuring the issue was resolved. I was very impressed with reception making a second call to us later that day, to check everything was ok. Small touches in the lodge, such as fruit bowl was nice. The milk and welcome box was a nice gesture as well. I would recommend this lodge and the site. The lodge has everything you require and more. The site is very quiet and located in easy reach of many of the South coast attractions. Overall fantastic.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Was so much bigger than we thought! Loved the fact they came out and cleaned the hot tub every day! It was clean and had all the perfect equipment in the kitchen! My partner loved the fact it came with robes too! Would definitely come back again!
Jennifer
What a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We were lucky to be able to book in early, walked in as the cleaners were finishing, the place actually smelled like it had been cleaned. Hot tub was perfect for our needs. Good sized oven and fridgefreezer, plenty of cupboard space and utensils. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Local pub had a reasonable menu, fairly priced and they were very friendly too. This is a locals pub but they were very welcoming. Lots of places to visit but the only thing within walking distance is the publocal Spar shop. Everything else is around 2060 mins drive. If you like little fishing villages this would be good for you due to location. Newquay was just under an hour away, as well as TintagelPort Isaac. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful holiday. The only this is, you cant see the view from the lodge, as it looks into the garden. You have to walk between a couple of hedges and then you can see the view. Fine for a sunrise!
Stayed many times on this beautiful site and it never disappoints! This lodge was fabulous. Warm and cosy, well furnished, clean and so comfortable. Great outside space and garden furniture. Love the quietness of the area. Hot tub is always a bonus. We will return in October.

The property was beautiful decorwise, exceptionally clean, and with a great location. Tracey was easy to get hold of regarding any queries and helped very much. My family and I will be back again, thank you for accommodating us!
Very nice airy and modern property with the best outdoor seating we have had for a number of years but like all the rest no sun parasol.
